Another Hairdo for a Beautiful Lady

This morning I had the pleasure of doing the hair of my neighbor Miranda for Homecoming in Decorah, IA.  We had to start bright and early, 6:30am to be exact!  We were able to finish in time for her to help change Brycen and get him ready for his doctor appointment and of course in time for her to go to school!  Here are a few pictures! Fall Mommy and Babies Party

Today I had a FABULOUS group of ladies from College over and their children!  It is always nice to throw a party and here are a few things that I did to make the party fun!

Here are a few items that I sent the ladies home with! I know as a Mom so much is focused on our kids we forget about ourselves! I wanted the ladies to know how FABULOUS they are!

I purchased fall plates and napkins from Hobby Lobby and they also had these fabulous fall bowls and trays!  They made the perfect serving dishes.  I used leave cupcake tins and added a little pumpkin toothpick to add to the fall theme!

I also put together little treat bags for the older kids!  They were filled with a mixture of chocalate treats and the bags had pumpkins on them again staying with the fall theme!

It was so MUCH FUN having a party, I just wish I had time to take more pictures! I was a little busy ;)

Throwing a Great Fall Party

Today I'm having 5 Wonderful Ladies and their Beautiful Kiddos over for a little "Fall Party" I'm busy cleaning and organizing and of course making food and putting together little gift bags!  I'll make sure I post pictures and a little "How To" list..........................................

I have a HUGE TO DO LIST yet, but I'm happy with how it turned out so far!  My WISH LIST is new stainless steel appliances, new lighting, and new hardware on cabinets! My ultimate would be a huge kitchen remodel, but I'll live with it for now!

It is always so MUCH FUN to help redesign a house and it is even better when it is FAMILY!  My mom already had a great "Base" but I just felt like a fresh set of eyes and a little removal would do wonders!  I think that one of the largest impacts in this room is the removal of the valances.  They really weren't "Doing it for me!"  I just felt like they were dwarfing the windows and these are not little windows! By removing the valances it opens up the space and your eye can focus on the beauty and size of the windows.  My other FAVORITE area was the office! My father collects old milk jugs and from the before picture you can see other "random farm items"  It is wonderful to express your love and interests in your rooms.  However, there is a tasteful way of doing so and just because you like cows it doesn't mean you need to have a hundred of them displayed.  In most cases Less is MORE!  My mom already had all of the items I used in this room, I just rearranged and took some out of storage and put others in storage!
